BFS through the years - the last major class photos update

The Class Photo Collection received its final serious update from the BFS Archives recently, this time from yearbooks to make this important collection more complete. As many know, BFS does not have a complete collection of class photos and not all BFS yearbooks contained class photos. The only way to have a more complete collection now is for alumni to share their class photos
with the school - we accept contributions and loans, but for those who scan, we prefer color scans at 400 dpi or greater.

Check it all out at:

The Photo Collection at the BFS Digital Archives - higher quality photos, suitable for printing.

The Photo Albums at the BFS Alumni/ae Facebook Group - where the entire BFS Digital Archives began with the Class Photo Collection several years ago, thanks to a well-timed post from Thomas Harington '89, who will always hold a special place in this gal's heart.

The Class Photo Collection consists of several individual albums, arranged by school year, then by grade, within each decade's album: 1949 and Earlier, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. Please note that the last two albums, both dated post-2000, only consist of senior class photos at this time as we do not wish to publish photos of enrolled students at the BFS Digital Archives.

Can you identify the photos in today's blog post? Visit the albums and you'll find these and many more.

  1. Second picture is the class of 1979 in 1st or 2nd grade. The picture of the students on the wall (prospect park) is the class of 1976 (I believe)

  2. That is the class of 1976 on the wall, but the wall is not in Prospect Park. It's at one end of The Promenade. The photographer was Sam Hooker who is seated dead center on the bottom. He had a good camera with a timer.
